๐ข Call for Authors: QUAD Technical Writer Program (1st Cohort)

“Share your PX4 / ROS 2 expertise and help shape the future of autonomous drone development!”
Hello Autonomous Drone Community,
We are QUAD Drone Lab, a pioneer and leading company specializing in non-GPS autonomous drone development. Since delivering our first Pixhawk-based autonomous flight platforms to the military, we have continuously expanded our horizons. Today, our development kitsโincluding the Q250-V3, Q500-V2, Q650-V1, and the NDAA-certified Star-2โare trusted by world-class institutions such as KAIST, military intelligence schools, and defense tech leaders like LIG Nex1.
To foster a more robust global open-source drone ecosystem, we are launching the QUAD Technical Writer Program. We invite passionate researchers, graduate students, and open-source developers from around the world to share their knowledge, showcase their work, and grow together on our official global technical blog.
๐ก Who We Are Looking For
- Developers & Researchers with hands-on experience in Pixhawk (PX4), ArduPilot, or VOXL 2 hardware configurations and tuning.
- Robotics Engineers capable of programming autonomous missions using ROS 2, MAVROS, MAVSDK, or uORB.
- AI & Vision Visionaries working on VIO, SLAM, or edge-AI deployment (e.g., OpenCV DNN, Ultralytics YOLO) on drone platforms.
- Tech Bloggers & Students who want to build a rock-solid engineering portfolio by documenting their technical troubleshooting and hardware integration journeys.
โ๏ธ What You Will Do
- Topics: Anything related to Pixhawk, companion computer integration (Jetson Orin, VOXL 2), ROS 2 programming, non-GPS navigation, or custom hardware modifications.
- Format: Deep-dive technical articles, step-by-step setup guides, or debugging code walk-throughs (published on QUAD’s English blog).
๐ What You Get (Exclusive Rewards)
- Global Developer Branding: Every article will explicitly feature your Author Profile (Name, Bio, GitHub link, and personal blog), placing your portfolio in front of a global network of robotics researchers and institutions.
- QUAD Hardware Incentives: Top contributors will receive exclusive perks, including priority access to long-term drone kit rentals (Q250, Q500, Q650, Star-2) and special developer discounts on parts.
- Community & Networking: Gain priority invitations to future advanced PX4 masterclasses, B2B consulting networks, and tech seminars hosted by QUAD.
๐ How to Apply
